Amherst College -- Alumni and alumnae

Biographical questionnaires; writings and correspondence by or about alumni, newspaper articles, obituaries, photographs. In rare instances, the collection includes some materials pertaining to an entire class, such as class agent records, and copies of class resolutions or class anthologies.

Collection consists of New Year greeting cards sent to Amherst College alumni by the College, as well as several scrapbooks of the cards and related correspondence. Cards often contain artistic scenes from the campus or reproductions from the collection of the Mead Art Museum.

Autograph books, registers, record books and logs relating to Amherst College students, alumni, administration and various college events and topics from the founding of the College to the early 20th century.

The Reunion Trophy of Amherst College was presented annually to the alumni class having the largest percentage of living members present at Commencement. Collection consists of letters and documents related to the Reunion Trophy.

Physician and former Amherst president. Collection contains proofs of The Spoken Word a collection of his speeches; and also includes other speeches and articles by Plimpton.

The Snell Family Papers contain the papers and photographs of Ebenezer Strong Snell (Class of 1822) and his immediate family, including his wife, daughters, parents and sisters.
