Boyden, Frank, 1933
Scope and Contents
Incoming and outgoing correspondence (sub-series E and F) contains letters on personal and business matters written to and from Charles E. Merrill. Correspondents include family members, friends, and business associates. Many letters from the period of 1929-1935 reflect financial difficulties felt by friends and associates during the period of the Great Depression. Scattered throughout the correspondence are typed excerpts from letters, some of the originals of these are found elsewhere in this collection, in other cases the original is not found in the collection. It is not known who compiled and typed these excerpts.
