Series 1-9: Bowles Family, circa 1779-1960
Scope and Contents
The Bowles group of papers contains materials beginning with Samuel I (who did not refer to himself that way, but it is a useful tool for specifying which Samuel material relates to) and his wife, Huldah Deming Bowles, through Samuel V, his brother Sherman, their cousin Richard Hooker, and ending with a short series of materials related to miscellaneous family members. The materials in the Bowles group comprise approximately 30 linear feet.
