Election night 1972, 1972
Scope and Contents
Recordings made by and for the radio station between 1957 and 2020; contents include lectures, interviews, music, dramatic productions, and radio broadcasts. Of particular interest are the complete broadcasts aired during the spring 2020 closure of campus due to the Covid-19 pandemic. Also included are recordings of lectures at other instutions which were shared with WAMH/WAMF for broadcast on the Amherst campus, including lectures by Martin Luther King, Jr. and Niels Bohr.
An unknown portion of the recordings on open reels are copies made for the archives in 1980 by WAMH staff. Cassette tapes and some reels were donated by alumni who are former WAMH staff. Titles are transcribed from boxes, reels and cassettes. Where two titles appear, it is unclear if both of the subjects are represented on the recording or if one was taped over. Of additional interest are the notes on the reel boxes indicating the previous contents of the reels.
