The bulk of the series consists of incoming correspondence dating chiefly from George D. Pratt's undergraduate years and some years after (circa 1889-1898). Much of the correspondence comes from Pratt's family: his mother, his sisters (two, including a half-sister), his brothers (five, including a half-brother), and his future wife.
