Scope and Contents From the Series: Sub-series A: Biographical Materials - contains material arranged by type. Traditional details are provided by a newspaper notice of his marriage to Orra White in 1821 and by his diploma from Yale (1818). Also included is the manuscript "phrenological description" of Hitchcock by L.N. Fowler, completed in 1847.
