Section 1: Obituaries - includes clippings and notices of Edward Hitchcock's death and memorial services in a range of college, professional, and general publications. Much of the material is gathered into several scrapbooks. The oversize bound volume of obituaries and condolence letters was presented to Hitchcock's widow, Mary Judson Hitchcock. Other scrapbooks were put together by Professor Levi H. Elwell (AC 1875).
