The bulk of the collection is made up of letters to Dwight from friends and publishers covering a period from 1897 to 1959. These include a number of letters from well-known persons ranging from Willa Cather to Eleanor Roosevelt.
The Mark Hopkins Ward (AC 1906) Family Papers contain the personal and professional papers of Mark Ward, as well as personal papers of members of his Ward and Bliss family relatives, including items from earlier generations of related Porter and Clapp family members. There is also material related to missionaries associated with the Ward and Bliss families in Turkey.
The William Earl Dodge Ward (AC 1906) Family Papers document the personal and professional lives of multiple generations of Ward and Bliss family members, dating from 1791 to 1977.
